David Perkins received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Hardin Simmons University and went on to complete his Master Social Work degree from Tulane University.
He worked for over 20 years at Woods Psychiatric Institute, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, for children, adolescents, and adults. He went on to serve as Executive Vice President for Child Care Programming at Hendrick Home for Children.
He is married to Linda and they have 4 children.
